Beef and Cabbage
Steps written by Kubbord
What goes in
- 1green cabbage head
- 1onion
- 1 lbground beef
- 2non-stick cooking spray
- 4.9 mlgarlic powder
- 1.2 mlblack pepper
- salt (optional)
- red pepper flakes (optional)
How to cook it
- Chop the green cabbage head and the onion into small pieces and set them aside.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, for 6 to 8 minutes until browned with no pink remaining and an instant-read thermometer registers 160°F (71°C).
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet and transfer the cooked beef to a plate.
- Spray the skillet with non-stick cooking spray, return it to medium heat, and add the chopped onion. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until tender and translucent.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes until wilted and beginning to brown.
- Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet, then stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, and salt and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through, then remove from the heat and serve.
