Easiest Banana Ice Cream
Based on a recipe from Alabama Cooperative Extension System, via USDA MyPlate Kitchen
Steps written by Kubbord
What goes in
- 2½bananas
- 44.4 ml1% milk
- chocolate syrup (optional)
How to cook it
- Peel the bananas, cut them into medium rounds, and arrange the slices in a single layer on a plastic wrap-lined baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze until the banana slices are completely solid, about 8 hours or overnight.
- Transfer the frozen banana rounds to a food processor or blender and pour in the 1% milk.
- Pulse repeatedly for 1 to 2 minutes until the banana breaks down into small, pebbly crumbs, then scrape down the sides of the container with a spatula.
- Blend continuously for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture turns thick, completely smooth, and resembles soft-serve ice cream.
- Scoop immediately into bowls and drizzle with chocolate syrup, if desired, to serve.
