A Kubbord recipe

What goes in

Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line two baking sheets with paper.
Beat the soft butter and sugar until pale, then beat in the egg and a few drops of vanilla.
Stir in the flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Roll into balls, roll each one in a little more sugar and press flat with the bottom of a glass.
Bake for 9 minutes, until set but still pale.
