1. Heat the oven to 350 °F.
2. Combine the angel food cake mix, flour, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin purée, and cold water in a large mixing bowl.
3. Mix on low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds, then increase to medium and beat for 1 full minute.
4. Spread the batter evenly into an ungreased 10-inch angel food tube pan.
5. Bake for 37 to 47 minutes, taking it out once the crust turns a rich golden brown and the cracks appear dry.
6. Invert the pan upside down right away and let the cake cool fully before releasing it.
