Pumpkin Angel Food Cake
Based on a recipe from Ohio State University Cooperative Extension, via USDA MyPlate Kitchen
What goes in
- 1 packangel food cake mix
- 14.8 mlflour
- 4.9 mlpumpkin pie spice
- ¾ cupcanned pumpkin
- 1 cupcold water
How to cook it
- Heat the oven to 350 °F.
- Combine the angel food cake mix, flour, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin purée, and cold water in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix on low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds, then increase to medium and beat for 1 full minute.
- Spread the batter evenly into an ungreased 10-inch angel food tube pan.
- Bake for 37 to 47 minutes, taking it out once the crust turns a rich golden brown and the cracks appear dry.
- Invert the pan upside down right away and let the cake cool fully before releasing it.
